Allen Wayne Ltd. Receives 'Environmental Excellence Award'
for Eco-Friendly Printing Processes
Chantilly, VA (September 14, 2009) Citing its commitment to sustainable and recyclable papers and clean
chemical processes, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors honored Allen Wayne Ltd., a Chantilly-based design,
graphics, printing and website services company, with its 2009 Environmental Excellence Award.
The annual award, which was first given in 2000, "recognizes county residents, organizations, businesses and
county employees who unselfishly dedicate time, energy and expertise for the betterment of the environment in
support of countrywide environmental goals and initiatives." Allen Wayne is only the third business to receive
the award.
"Identifying, investing in and implementing the most environmentally friendly printing process possible has
been a very rewarding challenge for our company," says Roland Owens, president of Allen Wayne, Ltd. "We
have made a strong effort to educate our clients in the public and private sectors on the benefits of using paper
from socially, economically and ecologically accredited forests, Eco-Smart soy-based inks and chemical-free

The company, which also uses eco-friendly press cleaning solutions through a partnership with Tower Products,
Inc. and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved paper as its house stock, has been recognized within the
printing industry as a leader in environmentally responsible business practices.'
