The “Sustainable Recreation Site Design Guide” (SRSDG) is a technical guidebook that describes the best practices and processes for implementing sustainable recreation design into U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service recreation projects at the site scale. The SRSDG helps field staff with planning and designs for new construction and for reconstruction of existing recreation facilities and sites, while also considering the three spheres of sustainability—social, environmental, and economic.
